MuSa Blues

MuSa Blues

EMOTIONS, BLUES, GROOVE (AND MORE...)

MuSa Blues draws inspiration from the golden age of African-American music to pay tribute and explore all those repertoires that have their roots in African music. MuSa Blues invites you to immerse yourself in these worlds and ways of “making music,” starting with the most readily available instruments, the body and the voice, to get to the heart of African-rooted music, its rhythms, its gestures, its breaths, in the measured cadence of an old worksong and the swaying cadence of reggae, in the introspection of a spiritual and in the extroverted joy of Afropop and Latin American music. Blues is a state of mind, everything else is music... Giorgio Monari directs MuSa Blues on a journey of discovery of the blues and groove that lie in everyone's voice and movements, from the encounter and discovery to the emotion of the performance, concerts, recitals, and shows, with different ensembles and formats for a multi-level and multi-dimensional choral experience.
